FunjunkieIrreverent, offbeat, UK weblogBottom Burps- (Found July 2, 2008 ) The interweb may well be rich resource of useful information, investment opportunities, and plenty of other iteresting and important things, but it's not without its childish nonsense. Take for example the latest game to find its way onto the Funjunkie research team's computer. No sign of Mario wandering around collecting stars, no stealthy undercover operations in dangerous war zones, not even a fast car to be seen, just plain old puzzles which you have to fart your way around. If you can...http://www.funjunkie.co.uk/news_archive.cfm?date=0608#f78e4489-fefb-4101-9f5d-ce02d5cfbd02 Clunker Classic 2008- (Found July 2, 2008 ) Here at FJ Towers, we're quite found of chucking ourselves down dangerous hills on inappropriate bikes while half-cut on homemade sloe gin. So we were very pleased when an email from our contact in the bike underworld popped in to the FJ mailbox this morning confirming that this year's Clunker Classic bike race is set for Saturday 5th July. Obviously, chucking yourself down dangerous hills on inappropriate bikes while half-cut on homemade sloe gin is a pretty stupid thing to do, but that's...http://www.funjunkie.co.uk/news_archive.cfm?date=0508#8b139dd5-3f6d-476c-866c-66947346cec0 Psychonauts- (Found July 2, 2008 ) Doesn't this sound like an entry from Taz's diary This morning, went down to the horrific dungeons of dementia, battled with scary monsters by unleashing my paranormal powers, got back in time for barbecue on the verandah. Suprisingly, it's not. It's actually from a game called Psychonauts! Who would have guessed The two worlds of FJ Towers and Psychonauts seems to be interchangeable. Now you can experience what it's like being in FJ Towers, or near enough, by downloading the entire...http://www.funjunkie.co.uk/news_archive.cfm?date=0508#c96b3751-f4c4-4921-9b6a-4dc563a85f21 Funjunkie Friday Game I- (Found July 2, 2008 ) It's Friday again, and I think you'll all agree that it's about time we at Funjunkie Towers got off our sorry arses and started posting some Funjunkie Friday Games. You'd be right to agree with eachother too, because it's always best to follow the herd... be a Sheep... hell, be a bloody Lemming if you want, see if I care! Actually I do care, we all do here on Funjunkie, which is why we're giving you something to do today, and what a job you've got on your hands! This is quite frankly, one of..http://www.funjunkie.co.uk/news_archive.cfm?date=0508#ddba7956-eba4-4270-ab47-39436c33fd64 Funjunkie Friday Game II- (Found July 2, 2008 ) Ok......summer is nearly here and I've pulled my finger out of my butt and have emerged from hibernation. It look's like I'm not the only one. After such a long long snooze I have woken up hungry, which was the inspiration for finding this jolly little caper.... now go 'Steal Me Some Mango's' people.http://www.funjunkie.co.uk/news_archive.cfm?date=0508#96521822-55e4-4697-8f40-b00ded58c14b Another date for your diary- (Found July 2, 2008 ) Team FJ have been attending the Raleigh Chopper at Billing for many years now. We havent even got any Choppers of our own, but that doesnt stop us joining in the fun; theres plenty more on offer than just bikes from the 70s. The event always ends up with bicycles reclaiming the streets, flaming bike races and lots and lots of booze. So if you fancy a spot of camping, want to join in the Mixtie bike building competition, or just like knocking around on bikes, whether they're Choppers or not,...http://www.funjunkie.co.uk/news_archive.cfm?date=0508#11de8477-4b65-44f6-8c79-5aa305d16a3c Viking Friday!!- (Found July 2, 2008 ) It's Viking Friday here at FJ Towers, and we're all running around in and horned helmets, waving our axes around (which is no change from any common or garden Friday really). We should be readying our longboats for the weekly raid on the biscuit factory, but they're going to have to wait. We're currently too busy driving into balls at high speed. C'est la vie.http://www.funjunkie.co.uk/news_archive.cfm?date=0508#09f0d5f2-d399-46cd-9a9a-c2c2142e856b Robokill- (Found July 2, 2008 ) This email just in to FJ HQ: If you don't already, you need to know about this game. Best online shooter for a good while. Don't you just love it when other people do your work for you And what's better, it's true! Robokill really is the best online shooter for a good while! You get the whole first four missions free, and then you have to pay for the rest. We liked it so much we smashed the FJ piggy bank! Unfortunately, there were only a few buttons and a bit of fluff at the bottom... so we...http://www.funjunkie.co.uk/news_archive.cfm?date=0508#f03a8325-c9e3-4fde-80e8-f773148f64f4 Photoshop Disasters- (Found July 2, 2008 ) Missing navels Extra Hands Has one of our secret experiments from the FJ dungeons escaped No! Its just another case of Photoshop disasters! I know its hard to believe, but not everyone is as skilled as Taz at image manipulation. Thanks to Richie for the link, and to Letraset for the loan of the extra question marks.http://www.funjunkie.co.uk/news_archive.cfm?date=0608#53993f82-664f-40e4-bd14-a86e55adc7c7 Would you send your kids- (Found July 2, 2008 ) Reg's recent post reminded me of a business logo that must have bypassed the focus groups at the planning stage. Would you send your kids to Training Connect Thanks Kat, who sent this to us a-a-a-ages ago. 1 comment.http://www.funjunkie.co.uk/news_archive.cfm?date=0608#469f54d0-500f-44ad-b8a5-44f6b3de84e1 |
