Hot Cayenne Pepper Vodka - June 30, 2008

This is something I found in a book a few years ago, tried and loved. It gets a nice pepper taste over time. It is great for Bloody Marys or male bonding. I understand you can vary the alcohol and the pepper to whatever fits, like rum and habaneros, brandy and bird peppers. I always have a bottle in the freezer. -- posted by Potatoes Browning

Tortilla "dry Soup" ( Sopa Seca De Tortillas) - June 30, 2008

This is a wonderfully spicy casserole of sorts. Because it has cream cheese, strips of tortillas, it could be classified with chilaquiles. This is just amazing! If you need more heat, sprinkle some red pepper flakes in, or some hot sauce of your choice. Tradition calls for either lard or shortening. You can use salad oil, as I do. -- posted by FLUFFSTER

If you want it to be chocolate coconut macaroons, melt a chocolate bar and drizzle the chocolate over the cooled macaroons. Then just refrigerate them. -- posted by Farm Chef Ultimate!

Chocolate Oatmeal - June 30, 2008

I love oatmeal but I also need something a little more filling in the mornings. So I added chocolate protein powder to my oatmeal, and it was delicious and very healthy! notes 1. if you like it a little sweeter, add some splenda! 2. You can also substitute the water for milk if you like it creamier 3. You can also vary the flavors. You can use vanilla powder and add cinnamon, bananas, any fruit of your choice, and maybe some honey! I find the chocolate best on its own though. -- posted by...
