That or you're trying to SSH to a port other than 22. And SSH'ing to username AT hostname is definitely not required, only difference is then it doesn't ask for your username it just takes everything before the sign. The startup script removed this, and I remove it when I use GDB but didn't think about valgrind, so removing libbooting before running valgrind solves the issue of it starting.
