But it highlighted a important destinction: as the owner of a website I am a supplier but as a user of google&39;s services I am a customer.This is the point I was trying to highlight. In my supplier role I build a websites that meets google&39;s requirements. Google on their part may decide to index and rank my site. They have however no obligation to do so. In my customer role I can use their free services. If I don&39;t like the results I can go elsewhere.
