Layered Ramen Casserole - July 3, 2008

I actually threw this together as means of feeding my hungry husband after work, as quickly as possible. And it has turned out to be a hit for everyone I've made it for. Such a thrill when that happens! I will still make it and just put it into the fridge for a fast meal, when I don't have time or when my hubby needs a quick lunch. I hope you like it as much as we do! This is really a versitile recipe, so feel free to experiment. So far I haven't had anyone make suggestions, but I'd love to...

Bean Burger Stew - July 3, 2008

Someone in my family found this recipe on a can of Bush's pinto beans many years ago and it has been a beloved family favorite ever since. I always add some chili powder to my bowl to make it more like a spicy chili. Make plenty because the this one is even better re-heated. -- posted by muncheechee

Spicy Beef Pitas - July 3, 2008

This is from Every Day w Rachael Ray. It's inexpensive, easy and tastes great. I'm not a fan of bell peppers, so I used a bit of petite diced tomatoes for color and flavor. -- posted by E.A.

Le Lasagne Autentiche Siciliane Supreme - July 3, 2008

(Authentic Sicilian Lasagna Supreme) This is a very old lasagna recipe handed down through many generations, and was given to me by an older Sicilian woman. It takes a while to make, but is it ever worth the wait. -- posted by TheHungaryCook

Jim's Spaghetti Sauce - July 2, 2008

This is not your typical spaghetti sauce! The recipe comes from my grandma, and is an old family favorite. We also like to use any leftover sauce as hot dog sauce. Very meaty, very comforting. Makes a large pot, for a small gathering the recipe can be divided in half. Leftover sauce also freezes well. -- posted by Jena W
