Spinach - Strawberry Salad - July 5, 2008

My best friend made this for a BBQ on Saturday and we had it twice since then, cause it is so yummy !!! It got a few 'looks' (specially from the guys) cause it didn't look like it wouldn't go together, BUT once they tried it it was GONE :) Wonderful salad for the summer, fresh and sweet. -- posted by Strawbelly

Cookie Bouquet Cookies - July 5, 2008

I found this from someone else online, and fell in love with it. These are exactly like the cookies I have ordered from Cookie Bouquet. The lemon is what really does it. Make sure to use high-quality, super-fine granulated sugar, as this combined with the powdered sugar gives that melt-in-your-mouth feel. My husband and I enjoy decorating them together. -- posted by Vicki in Houston, TX

Toasted Turkey and Bacon Sandwiches - July 5, 2008

These are are wonderful comfort food that can be prepared for lunch or dinner with a side salad or soup...... The dressing gives this sandwich a kick and if you used sharp cheddar instead of regular it would be that much better...... Fourth of July Cake (Yeast Cake) - July 4, 2008

This cake is a rich, but not too sweet, yeast coffee cake. In Colonial days it was decorated with a wreath of gilded boxwood sprays or blueberry clusters and leaves. An excellent choice for Sunday brunch, afternoon tea, or between meals snack. -- posted by Olga Drozd

Zinggg! Salad Dressing - July 4, 2008

This dressing has flavor to knock your socks off! Lemon, balsamic vinegar, tahini, mustard, fresh parsley- I almost drool just thinking about it. Another great perk: beyond all that, you can't taste the uber-healthy flax oil :-) Serve on a colorful garden salad or as a dressing for pasta salad. -- posted by White Rose Child

Colorful Bean Salad - July 4, 2008

I got tired of the traditional three bean salad so I added some ingredients and removed another and came up with a pretty low fat bean salad -- posted by Chef 832867
