John Naughton I've been using Gmail for nearly a fortnight, and am very impressed at the slickness of the interface and the speed with which it works. Webmail used to be like wading through treacle. EU Verdict on Microsoft May Come in Mid-November - (Found July 5, 2008 )

Doug Isenberg's GigaLaw.com The European Union judge ruling on whether to suspend sanctions against Microsoft could deliver his verdict as early as mid-November, sources familiar with the process said. Bo Vesterdorf, president of the E.U.'s Court of First Instance, is due to rule whether to temporarily suspend sanctions imposed by the European Commission on Microsoft, pending the outcome of Microsoft's full legal challenge against the Commission.

InsideGoogle Jon Udell takes a peek under Gmail's hood, and is eminently impressed by what he sees. He looks at Gmail's address auto complete, the spell checker, and what he describes as "JavaScriptDHTML wizardry". As he explains, Gmail uses a JavaScript loaded "UI engine".
