It affected 24 apartments, but luckily everyone is safe.Saturday, from 10 am - 2 pm, they are having a clothing drive, and collecting non-perishable foods, toys and furniture as well. It is going to be at the Stonebridge Apartments Clubhouse. Couldn't get through on his phone, would ring and ring, but the answering machine never picked up. At first I thought maybe he was avoiding me, because that is always my first assumption with people. I can't seem to shake the feeling that people don't really like me, and very often need a lengthy break from me. It intensifies the more I like someone. I usually can keep it in check, but combined with not hearing from him most of last...http://xoraclex.livejournal.com/1072920.html Weekend.- February 12, 2007 Spent Sunday with Nick, just hanging out watching old movies with ridiculously little plot involved. We ate baked potatoes and salad. We went for a walk in the snow at 10 pm, up to the park where we spent our second date, I believe. We looked at houses, and talked about what we liked and didn't like. I guess he wants a fortresslaboratory, with working turrets and towers. His definition of working turret involves guys with crossbows hanging out in them.I made some Shrinky Dinks of Bea. She likes.http://xoraclex.livejournal.com/1072884.html A mostly quiet evening.- February 10, 2007 Stayed home. Didn't hear from Nick. Weird.Bea got real crazy and somehow knocked over a 50+ pound mirror in the kitchen. It broke a lot. Glass everywhere. It won't fit in our garbage bin. I have a feeling the garbage man won't remove it Wednesday morning.I'm out with Camille right now, running errands. I needed to go to the library, and get groceries really bad, and that was her plan too, so we went together.I need to do art. I can't bring myself to do it. I want to do something more...http://xoraclex.livejournal.com/1072437.html Late nights- February 9, 2007 I had a job interview at the library last night. It went very well, I think. She says she just has to call my references, and then we can get started. This bodes well for being able to stay in my apartment after Camille leaves. I talked to Camille and she is talking about not leaving until July, so that also bodes well. It means I can use the money I was planning on using for the other half of the rent, to keep afloat for another month after she leaves.I called Nick to tell him how it went, and.http://xoraclex.livejournal.com/1071968.html I almost forgot to mention- February 7, 2007 Last night, Camille told us she was raised with Dildos. She meant dodos, like the extinct birds. Freudian slip, muchhttp://xoraclex.livejournal.com/1071663.html At Work, with a digital camera- February 7, 2007 This is a hallway outside of the building I work in. It is strangely attached to two bathrooms and a hallway, but has a cagedoor at the end of it, and the hall door leading to it locks behind you if you let it, and you get trapped there forever.True story.Tiny Bulldozer...dozing the snow. I need one of these to push over my neighbor's concrete goose. Penny says no. I need one though. I could push over so much stuff!Poor photo quality, but this is the Kettering Waterpark, right behind Rosewood...http://xoraclex.livejournal.com/1071362.html Works On Paper- February 7, 2007 The next show for the Rosewood Gallery is our annual Works on Paper. The opening reception is Sunday, February 25, from 2-4 pm.The pieces were just juried last weekend, but the rejects haven't been picked up yet. I got a chance to go in and take pictures of the submissions. Here are a few of my "favorites."I genuinely like these dogs. This piece did not make it into the show, but I would've let it in if it had been my choice. The next piece was so horrifically weird and strange that I had to...http://xoraclex.livejournal.com/1071153.html |
