In 2005, the most well known Dane in the world, fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen, would have been 200 years old. The anniversary is being celebrated with a huge cultural year devoted to Andersen, both in Denmark and worldwide.

Windmills - (Found July 8, 2008 )

Inspired by the world's largest windmill company. First I have been visiting the windmill company. The company gave me a lot of useful information. I have investigated wind energy - especially Danish Wind Energy Association's web site www.windpower.org, videos etc., The American Wind Energy Association's web site www.awea.org and Jean Michel Jarre's AERO event - seeking inspiration to approach the subject from an artistically angle - a new angle.

Easter Island - exhibition of paintings inspired by Rapa-Nui traditions and legends - (Found July 8, 2008 )

Claudio A. Batista Diaz of Chile and director Torben Cornelius have encouraged me to make a Rapa-Nui Exclusive Selection. On 22 May 2003 we had a fruitful conversation in "Lille Fejringhus" about the island and especially the Rapa-Nui culture, legends and mythology. Thanks to Claudio and Torben. My further studies have been based on Claudio's recommendations and the keywords derived from our conversation.

Hot News - Asbjorn Lonvig's fairy tales are being published in China - (Found July 8, 2008 )

I got this message a few minutes ago from my Chinese translator Ni Duan in Hangzhou southeast of Shanghai. A publisher in China wants to publish my fairy tales. Ni Duan has translated my fairy tales from English into Chinese and shown the internet version to Chinese publishers. A dream has come through.
