If this system has these values at a different location from another supposedly the same (at least as far as LIC, OS and PTF level) then there must be another field value that is the trigger for this change. I wish I had access to a system exhibiting this...

Yes. The pointer is NULL prior to being set then is set to the first WCBT. I've not seen that before. I guess it could mean that QWCBT01 is not used (damagedskippedempty). What does DSPJOBTBL show on the failing system What does DMPSYSOBJ QWCBT01 QSYS ...
