Chocolate Macadamia Biscuits - July 10, 2008

A delicious treat to warm your heart! Make sure the butter is at room temperature for easy creaming. Pour melted chocolate in a snap-lock bag. Snip off the corner and use as piping bag, if you don't have one. -- posted by Chef 864207

Oxtail Soup - July 10, 2008

A lovely, heartwarming soup sure to please. This recipe is a good candidate for the slow-cooker if you don't want to simmer on top of the stove. From the New England chapter of the United States Regional Cookbook, Culinary Arts Institute of Chicago, 1947. -- posted by Molly53

30 Minute Lasagna Bowls - July 9, 2008

Classic lasagna in my family is made by layering thin lasagna noodles, preferable egg pasta, with layers of bechemel or white sauce, and a light meat sauce. Here, curly short-cut pasta is topped with the white sauce and topped with a rich meat sauce for mixing in. -- posted by Brandess

Shan's Ham and Cream Cheese Pastry Rolls - July 9, 2008

Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies - July 9, 2008

My husband says these are the best peanut butter cookies he's ever had...including his mom's! The recipe originally came from www.crisco.com. I "made it my own" by using Smucker's Natural Creamy Peanut Butter(has to be stirred initially and stored in the refrigerator), butter flavored Crisco and whole wheat flour. Creamy vs chunky peanut butter is your choice. -- posted by nanpie

Baked Potato Soup - July 9, 2008

This soup is satisfying without being heavy and leaving you in carb-coma. It is rich, creamy and filling. Serve with a nice salad and a glass of cold iced tea and you have a perfect meal that will not bust your diet! Occasionally, I have been known to sprinkle a few fat free croûtons on top for added texture and crunch. A great way to use up left over baked potatoes, or bake off a few extra the next time you bake potatoes and store them in the fridge up to 4 days in a sealed container. --.
