Peaches and Cream Tart - July 15, 2008

This recipe from Food and Drink magazine is a perfect summer dessert as it doesn't require any baking. It is very simple to prepare, using a prepared graham crumb crust and canned peaches. You can vary the flavour by using a chocolate crumb crust. If fresh peaches are in season, use 3 fresh peaches which have been peeled and pitted. Chilling time is cooking time. -- posted by Irmgard

Texan Beans - July 11, 2008

This is from a British weight watchers cookbook. In British points it is 2 ponts per serving - apologies but I don't know the american equivalent - please feel free to Zmail me if you can shed any light. By bigger half likes these with a large squeeze of barbeque sauce in but of course this will alter your points value. I like this served in a wrap with a little grated cheese thrown in. -- posted by PinkCherryBlossom

Chocolate and Coffee Milkshake - July 11, 2008

I wanted to make a shake inspired from a Snickers Icecap thats made in a local expresso shop. I took a few ideas from several mocha shakes, frozen lattes, and iced coffee recipes and combined some of the ideas to make my own version of this simple frozen coffee treat! Note: cooking time is time to freeze coffee. -- posted by ShannonNP

Best Beach Bushwacker - July 9, 2008

There are several versions of this tasty frozen drink, but here's my favorite - how I made them at the ol' Dirty Joe's on Pensacola Beach! They are great to take on a leisurely beach bike ride - beat the heat! Don't worry about the calories, if you drink enough and start dancing to the reggae music, you can work all that off, yea, right! -- posted by Laurita
