Consumerist (a must-read blog) has a link today to a New York Times article about CSAs, which I mentioned a couple of weeks ago.

Joe Shaw: promotional consideration provided by - July 13, 2008

Like Havoc, Brette and I are members of a CSA in which we pick up our veggies once a week from a truck in a parking lot in Central Square. I just picked up this weeks share, and we have some great beets, carrots, mustard greens, and the best strawberries I&8217;ve ever had. In addition to the veggie CSA, we&8217;re also members of a meat CSA, Chestnut Farms. The meat is local &8212; raised in western Massachusetts and slaughtered nearby &8212; and I pick it up once a month. It comes frozen,..

Joe Shaw: i left the living room window open - July 13, 2008

The weather here this week has been awesome. It&8217;s too bad Jacob moved away just as it was getting good. :( These kinds of storms remind me of my childhood. When I was six, I remember sitting on the front porch of my grandparents&8217; house with them and listening to a battery-powered radio. The power had gone out, and a tornado had touched down about halfway between where my parents and grandparents lived &8212; about 30 miles apart. Good times.

Antje Faber: My name is Dave - July 13, 2008

What has my new haircut to do with David Beckham Not much if you asked me. But yesterday I got this dubious compliment that I look like a tomboy with my new David Beckham cut. DAVID Beckham Would have been strange enough to be compared with his starving wife, but with him.. To make things worse I had to dance to this duck song again. With a Bob the Builder helmet (the tomboy proof) and a troop of plush toys. And soon I have to paint fishes. And dolphins. Fishes for my nephew and dolphins for...

Egbert Eich: RV770 support in RadeonHD - July 12, 2008

Support for the RV770 chipsets has now been added to the GIT masterbranch of xf86-video-radeonhd at freedesktop.org.So far this support has only been available in the AtomBIOS branch. Now some investigations have unveiled that the display engine blockshave not changed since RV620RV635. Therefore AtomBIOS is not a striktprerequisite to get the latest AMDATI hardware to work. Some bits to get RV770 to work have been cherry picked from the'atombios-support' branch. These involved mainly memory...

Gabriel Burt: Tabtastic Banshee - July 12, 2008

By outrageous amounts of popular demand (and feature pressure from Totem), we are pleased to announce tab support in Banshee! You can open your Music Library in one tab, your yummy Apple device in another, and be watching a video in another, all at the same time!I'm really excited about this new direction that GNOME is taking. I can't wait for tab support in Gnometris.

Jigish Gohil: Awesome!! - July 12, 2008

Look at this picture closely: The reason why this image is awesome because it is EEPC running openSUSE 11.0 KDE4 without being installed on it&8217;s disk. It is pxebooted EEPC from the openSUSE KIWI-LTSP server. So if you want to try out how 11.0 looks like on your little toy you can safely network boot to get openSUSE or just do normal boot to get back to the OS on the disk. No modification is made to the local disk. Asmo has even made a video of the booting. Note that the sound and local...
