She used a pressure cooker, but I prefer the slow cooker, and I've tweaked the ingredients just a bit from how she would make it. It looks like a thin casserole. My friend Jenn brought this to a dinner party and I thought that she'd spent way more time and money. I was shocked to find out how easy this is. I use the chili with beans. But, I'm sure that you could use whatever you like. This is so yummy on tortilla chips and is a great break from the average chips and queso. Since half of us were fussy eaters she would give funny names to meals to get us to eat them and hot dogs and beans became Beanies and Cecils. Beany and Cecil was a TV show and Cecil was a seasick sea dragon (to see what they looked like - http:www.tvparty.combgifs17beany.jpg).
