The Fort Lewis fire department responded from the Elliston open house to find the house fully engulfed in flames. No one was home at the time of the fire and all pets were rescued. Elliston Fire Department Open House- April 26, 2008 This morning the New Elliston fire department opened its doors to the public. At 10 am there was a parade from the old fire station to the new. Volunteers from Fort Lewis were present to help Elliston and it was a good thing as there was a structure fire.
