Re: New to Gnu- August 5, 2007 Z I'm a big fan of DamnSmall Linux, myself. Puppy is nice too, but has some quirks that will eventually be worked out. Puppy is probably more user-friendly than DSL. I'm pretty new to GNULinux and Linux security myself, but I've used and enjoyed both of those distros. I'd recommend looking at Firestarter (firewall) and Clam anti-virus for protection.
