Julian Bleecker thinks that interdisciplinarity is dead, which is actually more reasonable than the title makes it sound. What he's saying is that getting an engineer, a designer, and maybe an ethnographer into a room together just isn't enough. I think it's absolutely vital -- a requirement -- that you practice the other disciplines that contribute to the project. Which takes time. And will. Not to mention, well..discipline to become a designer, or chemist, or engineer, or cultural theorist,.

I've been asked by a few people whether the goings-on in Burma have had much effect on people in Thailand. Honestly, I haven't noticed it having more impact here than on the rest of the world just because it's happening to our neighbor.
