You could have a simple cgi script in perl or php that will read files from the help folder and then display them. This would be ideal for if you are using a web site program to host your web site, like Apache, and it's impossible to run your own web server from within the MUD for whatever reason. This requires (kinda, but not really) that your... ( Posted By: Kacy 05-03-06 18:14 )http://www.mudmagic.com/boards/developer/19/318/319 No Subject- (Found June 24, 2008 ) Thank you! I'm actually in the process of teaching myself web design, and so far, I've only really tackled it from a graphical standpoint, and haven't worried about the high-level technical aspects. I'm definately going to look into everything you suggested, as I was unaware of most of the text related issues. Again, thanks for your input!! Where's my acronyms This must be a substandard project Tyche. quote Oh yes very much so.. I can however tell you that I coded it while wearing women's clothing, and I may or may not have accidently left some pics in the distro. HTH ;-) BTW.. I'm getting 500 hits per hour on my site after releasing this. Already 15 downloads. This rails crap is apparently... Most links are broken. They aren't underlined I'm pretty sure that depends on your browser settings. Thanks. EDIT Hm, you're right. The layout forces links to not underline. Anyways, the main content should now be up. I'm fixing the site to meet W3C, or at least trying to.Edited on Feb, 27 2006 by Zeno ( Posted By: Zeno 02-27-06 12:28 )http://www.mudmagic.com/boards/developer/19/301/303 LARGEST MudClient's Collection!- (Found June 24, 2008 ) All hail the largest MudClient's Collection out there! When i get the site up to a decent level. I'll be looking into this more. But what i thought it would be would go pretty much along these lines: When a user is added or removed from the who list, it'll addremove the user from a mysql database. Which is simple to query in a .php page.... ( Posted By: Tiepos 04-02-06 20:08 )http://www.mudmagic.com/boards/developer/19/306/309 Re: EoC :: Website- (Found June 24, 2008 ) Quite a nice layout. I've never had a graphical gene in my body to design something attractive. But i like the site. My only problem would have been the news, it's too low. But i couldn't give any suggestions i'm afraid. So it can't talk to a normal web server, but it's not too bad for talking at your server and talking to javascript for presentation code. I'm currently fiddling with socket connections from various sources at the moment, and flash is something on my...
