xServe Update - (Found August 15, 2008 )

Update: It's been almost 9 months between updates, but the new xServe is here with a big Intel based performance upgrade. The xServe was updated in September, but only with 500G drives as an option, replacing the 400G drives as the biggest on offer. The next update could bring dual core G5s to the xServe line up, which could help Virginia Tech climb further up the supercomputer rankings. First Intel Mac Mini Update - (Found August 15, 2008 )

Apple Stops Selling the iMac G5 - (Found August 15, 2008 )

Update:The iMac G5 is gone from the US Store. Update: The UK store has stopped selling G5 iMacs, and the US store only has the 20" left, so it looks like it's not long to go till the iMac G5 is gone for good - the current prediction of April 1st looks like it might be pretty close to the mark! Although the iMac Intel Core Duo models are shipping, Apple is still selling the 17" and 20" iMac G5 models. When do you predict Apple will no longer have the iMac G5 available through it's US store

MacBook Update - (Found August 15, 2008 )

Update: The MacBook has been updated, moving to Core 2 Duo CPUs. The MacBook arrived in May, so traditionally an update would still be a while off. But now Apple has the option of keeping up with Intel's release schedule, there's a good chance of more frequent speed bumps across all the models. Next MacBook Pro Revision - (Found August 15, 2008 )

Update:It's here, bringing higher specs all round, notably raising the max RAM limit to 3GB. With the change to Intel CPUs it looks like Apple is favouring smaller and more frequent revisions to the pro laptop, including the bump to 2.0GHz and 2.16GHz Intel Core Duo CPUs, and updated displays yesterday.
