More Singapore companies offering eco-friendly products - August 15, 2008

More bullies unleash terror online - August 15, 2008

A Straits Times survey of 100 teens aged 13 to 17 showed that all had some encounter with online bullying one way or another. A third of all respondents said they had been victims of persistent online attacks. Of this one-third, 50 per cent said bullies spread stories, rumours and lies about them.

More S'pore couples turn to IVF - August 15, 2008

According to Health Ministry figures, 717 babies were born through assisted reproductive treatment - IVF being the most common - in 2006, the most recent year for which figures are available. This is more than five times the 141 babies born in 1993, a decade after the first IVF birth here.

Airline food on board Singapore-KL buses - August 15, 2008

Express buses here will offer airline food on the road, as coach operators prepare for battle with budget airlines. At least one company here - Transtar Travel, which has a fleet of 47 coaches and runs the Singapore-Kuala Lumpur sector - plans to engage airline caterer Singapore Airport Terminal Services to supply all its meals for trips up north.

American food players bite into Singapore's favourite foods - August 15, 2008

Last year, the US imported US$177.8 million worth of food from Singapore, an increase of 8% from 2006. Some examples of products available in the US include Chye Choon's Peacock brand of rice vermicelli, Yeo's Asian beverages, Tiger Beer and Asian Home Gourmet's pre-mixes and sauces.
