Within just a few years, she'll be entirely deaf, and it's gotten markedly worse just within the past couple of months. She can sort of read lips, but it helps if the person she's talking to also speaks loudly enough for her to put it together. We both want to take ASL classes to make it easier on her, especially for down the road when she can't hear at all. Trouble is, we can't seem to find any where we live. The story is quite interesting because when hearing males find out she's deaf, they run a mile and I'm always afraid that will happen to me.
