Gluten-free flour tends to make baked products drier. These were THE BEST gluten free brownies I've ever had. They're chewy, moist, and fudgy. As per Karen, the recipe doubles just fine - use a 9 x 13 inch pan instead and add a few more minutes of baking. -- posted by Sharskihttp://www.recipezaar.com/308802 Beef Stroganoff Ala John (Aka. 'drunk B Stew')- June 12, 2008 Why oh why is this beef stroganoff ala John Because he hated mushrooms and believed that a cup of wine could make you drunk. This is a totally gluten-free shroom-o-rama with copious red wine and an unexpected secret ingredient that makes it completely badass. -- posted by Tzitzimitlhttp://www.recipezaar.com/308800 Low-Fat Celery Seed Dressing- June 11, 2008 This is a modified version of the "Ten Dollar Dressing" using thickened broth in place of some of the oil and Splenda instead of sugar. Better yet I could get all the flours in one stop at the organic store. (Tip: Asian Markets have potato starch and tapioca and rice flour too) This recipe is Butter-Basted White Bread; I got this from a book in the library, I cannot remember the title or author. I make this bread...http://www.recipezaar.com/308592 Cheesy Tofu Strips - Italian Style- June 10, 2008 Baked, breaded tofu topped with spaghetti sauce and cheese! I also used a little brining help from a great blog, Culinary Disasters. I am an amateur griller so Cooks illustrated helped me with the grilling techniques. For one of my first bbq chicken feasts, I did pretty well. My family LOVES it! For a newbie cook like me, I really enjoyed impressing everyone with crispy golden skin, juicy meat, and a lot of layers of flavor. -- posted by Miss Paigehttp://www.recipezaar.com/308398 |
