Good Evening Everyone;Saw this on the home page:Bristol-Myers Squibb And PDL Biopharma Enter Global Alliance To Develop Novel Treatment For Multiple MyelomaElotuzumab provides a novel approach to treating multiple myeloma because it is an antibody that binds to the CS1 glycoprotein, allowing the immune system to selectively kill myeloma cells with minimal effects on other cell types. CS1 is a cell surface glycoprotein that is widely expressed on multiple myeloma cells but is minimally expressed.

Chemo & Libido - September 7, 2008

Either it&39;s my imagination or the chemo treatments I&39;ve been receiving have pretty much iliminated my libido and I would appreciate any feed-back on the subject anyone has experienced with the same problem. I&39;m 62 years young and my doctors tell me I&39;m in good health aside of the fact  thatI have multiple myeloma. So I would like to know if this is a temporary or permanent condition if indeed it is associated with chemo treatment. Again, if anyone has...

Does anyone have RCC & MM - September 7, 2008

My husband has Renal Cell Carcanoma (kidney cancer). He recently had rods inserted into both femurs at which time bone biopsies were taken revealing MM. I have read some recent research linking the two. Does anyone one this list share both cancers

49 year old husband with MM on dialysis - September 5, 2008

Hi, I am 35 and the mother of 2 boys, ages 6 & 4.  My husband was DX in late Feb.   His MM bothering him for about 6 months now looking back.  He had fatigue and anemia.  He thought he was fighting the flu and when he got to the hospital his kidneys were not functioning properly and he had severe anemia.  A Dr. that was going to do a kidney biopsy suggested a test for MM and it came back positive.  We were devestated.  I am an information junkie so I..

New here..Mspike Zero - September 5, 2008

My mother was diagnosed in May with Myeloma.  Her Mspike at the time was 2.5.  She had multiple fractures of her vertebrae (two separate kyphoplasty treatments..think she has seven treated vertebrae total)..and was being treated for severe osteoporosis.  She never had protein in her urine..but her arthritis dr just felt there was something more..they ran that Mspike and all were surprised.  She has been on thalidomide (started with four a day) and dex, but has tapered back...

Affects after stem cell transplant - September 4, 2008

Hi there,  my dad recently had his transplant and he was very weak when he came home,  now he is eating better but a new thing has started, his chest is aching terribly and he won&39;t go see his doc (he&39;s 5 hrs away), does anyone know what could be happening

when to start treatment - September 2, 2008

Yesterday my mother asked me a question I cannot find an answer to: considering her condition is fine and her bloodurine formulas are good (except of course immune globulines) and the only bad thing is her kappalambda ratio measured by the FLA what should be a proper indication for her to start treatment FLA has only been around for a few years so if one imagines it is not around now, what are the signs that chemotransplant should be doneher albumine, creatinine, b2m, haemoglobin are normal,...

MGUS - September 2, 2008

I was dx July 1  2008 with mgus. My question is did anyone out there experience belly growth from one to two inches in the waist In one to three months pirior to dx with mgus and gain 10-15lbs  All tests were clear. CT, CT BONE, BONE mer bios, bone survey,  Only blood showed something wrongAlbert
