Expo Zaragoza 2008 - (Found June 29, 2008 )

Official website for this world fair in Zaragoza, Spain, (scheduled for June 14 through Sept 14, 2008) that has the theme "Water and Sustainable Development." Includes a map showing locations of country pavilions, list of events (including those organized by the Water Tribune), and material about Fluvi, the expo's water mascot. Also includes a blog.

Everywhere - (Found June 29, 2008 )

Everywhere bills itself as "the travel magazine made by you." On this site you can view and share photos and stories about travel destinations. Find photos and articles on topics such as Kenya National Park (one of the few parks in Africa where you are allowed to hike without a guide), the former home of Kurt Cobain in Seattle, and laundry on the streets of Shanghai. Selected material is printed in the Everywhere Magazine.

International Exhibitions Bureau Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) - (Found June 29, 2008 )

The BIE "was established by a diplomatic international Convention, signed in Paris, in 1928. Its function is to regulate the frequency and quality. ... of all international exhibitions of a non-commercial nature (other than fine art exhibitions) with a duration of more than three weeks, which are officially organised by a nation." Provides a BIE history, governing legislation, list of world fairs and horticultural exhibitions, and more. In English and French.

World Expo 2010 Shanghai China - (Found June 29, 2008 )

Official website for this international exposition to be held in Shanghai, China, May through October 2010, with the theme of "Better City, Better Life." Features a list of participants (172 countries and 33 international organizations as of June 2008), a master plan for the expo site with a gallery of some pavilion ideas, information about the fair's mascot (Haibao, "created from a Chinese character meaning people"), and related material.
