Why is it that the only time we really think about our veterans and the sacrificies they have made and make, is time of war. I personally feel selfish to have all the luxuries and freedom I have that so many great men and women have died for. dun dun duuuun! RE: iPhone update 2.1: "For the security conscious, the Passcode Lock section of Settings now offers an option to erase all data on the iPhone after 10 failed attempts at entering the pass-code" It ain't scramble -but it's closer. :) But the big question in my mind, and in general is, what forensic info is available on the iphone before and after the "wipe" Is it a real memory cleaning or jsut a table clearing !! Many school are trying very hard to keep secure information locked down, but its difficult when so many folks have access to it. Here is an example from my previous position at a public university... One of the junior deans had access to information on the membership of the sororities and fraternities on campus, including SSNs, which he stored on his computer.
