Following in the after math of Freddie Macs dismal second quarter numbers, Fannie Mae announced their loss of $2.6 billion. This resulted in a loss of about $2.54 per share just more than 3x analysts expectations. Similar to its counterpart Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae has opted to cut its dividend. This news drove the stock down 18% to 8.85 per share.
