Thanks for all the comments guys, I have read and noted all :) Interesting comments about the social networks. While I have a profile on Facebook, I shared as much as I was willing for them to know. The other thing I don't do is add a crap load of apps. They just crowd the facts imho. Plus I said what I thought of Beacon, and there will be more news on that in this weeks show. Thanks for the insight into the PayPal thing Wade - I did not know it had been done before. Oh and for those reading.

Another great show. Tim we will miss you and you insane ability to drop the f bomb at the funniest moments. Show realted comment about PayPal's one time use credit card numbers. American Express was doing this in 2000 with a product called Private Payments. Basically you logged onto Amex's site and generated a card number every time you wanted to use the service. They have since tuned this application off in 2005. The main driver behind this I am sure it that it is easier for them to...

First off, another great show guys. Packed with a ton of information. Secondly, it may not seem like it, but I'll miss Tim. The more I listen to him, the funnier he becomes. And wow, what a rant my KW. I couldn't stop wincing in pain as he threw caution into the wind and opened the floodgates. I thought to myself, wow this guy has some balls. At any rate, that was probably one of the harshest rants I have ever heard. At one point, I felt the same way and KW did about Second Life but after...

Just a comment that's actually show related--I think that these "social networking" sites are taking and storing far too much personal information about people in the name of "helping". As far as I'm concerned, it's all about targeted marketing and making a buck off the backs of the consumer. I refuse to put anything beyond very basic information (some of it is even true) into these sorts of websites and I absolutely HATE having my activities or surfing habits tracked in the name of...

The fact that you ARE going mad is totally beyond any discussion whatsoever.

Sorry, Dave, it IS, indeed, the flash player - I was doing several things at once when I sent that comment. Now, when I look at the time (The Global Geek Podcast 70 (MP3 - 31.26 MB - 1:30:59), it gives the correct time. Yesterday, it said 47.48 - or something close to that. I knew it was getting close when you guys were discussing apps, and I looked at the slider - it was almost at the end. So, I looked at the time - it said, as I said, above, 47.something. So, I did not get to hear the...

Brie: What is the "My Chingo Podcast" I have no idea what you are talking about. If you refer to the flash player, the one on the blog post that has a play button... It plays the whole thing, it does not stop at 48 minutes (I am playing it now and it is at 1 hour and 25 minutes!). So I am completely lost and have no idea what you are referring to. The MyChingo service refers to a service that allows people to click the link and then leave us a voicemail on the MyChingo service. So you are...
