Comment on The Middle Finger of Socialist Democracy by Robert F.E. Scherer - September 11, 2008

"...bizarre display of disjointed logic." Hargrove and friends have a propensity to espouse the virtues of equality. However, most of them will readily admit to harboring a desire to isolate Canada. Under the virtually unproductive rule of Chretien, Canada actually became more dependent on imported goods, as the socialist tax structure made families more inclined to purchase foreign goods. Despite what Hargrove and friends would have you believe, most factory workers aren't being replaced by..

Unfortunately there are many like Buzz waiting in the wings, sort of like Castro with Cuba. And Windsor is our own personal Havana, still rowing upstream with federal representatives from our domestic socialist party.

I just have to laugh at the CAW... they, under Hargrove have greeded themselves out of a job. Boo Hoo. I am a little pissed at Harper for loaning money to Ford or any of the big automakers. Toyota and Honda have gotten along just fine. Build a good product and you sell cars. Build junk, demand too much money, and, as you say, they pack up and move on. It ain't rocket science. Good Riddance, Buzz... It wasn't even fun knowing you.

Comrade Buzz, how does it feel to be an aging commie, with little to no influence in politics, with a younger cadre who do not even know the words to the 'Internationale' Don't let the door hit you on the way out, and make sure the union approved electrician turns out the lights.

Comment on Casting Pearls Before Union Leaders by RF - September 6, 2008

Bluetech Don't quote me as the authority on these matters. I am unclear on many details. However, this is what I believe is the case, and I hope other will correct me if I'm wrong. The money to Ford is a grant, unless they fail their obligations, at which time it becomes a loan. Whether it was new money or not depends on what axe you have to grind. The facts are that this money was not going to Ford last week, and now it is. Sounds new enough to me, but then I'm not Buzz Hargrove, or Stephane..

Comment on Casting Pearls Before Union Leaders by Robert F.E. Scherer - September 6, 2008

"As a longtime observer I would extrapolate that they were genuinely disappointed that the Conservative party of Canada had just taken away one of the bludgeons they were regularly using on it." Many Windsorites will remain unappreciative; invariably, Windsor seems bound by history. The faculty of the University of Windsor might strike. Unionized employees of the Canada Border Services Agency are working without a contract. Municipal employees might strike. One politicized manifestation of the.

Thanks for that Rick.I'm originally from the area, so I'm always interested. Could you explain more of the 'details'The media at one point referred to it as a loan to Ford. Also I understand it was part of the budget funding, not 'new' money...something of course not clarified in the media. Can you expand on that. How will the feds be involved in the bridge Did PMSH meet with the local CPC
