this is a very tricky one,as knowledge professionals, the idea is to share information and knowledge and as such keeping some information discreet might be an issue especially in a group scenario, a message not sent to a member of the group may result in that member feeling left out when they find out they werent notified, this will undermine the efforts of the group in working together for a common goal.Again, who is responsible for deciding who gets to know what and when because we may find

any organization should create a zone that is conducive for its employess to open up, comment, create, share and collaborate.It is those organizations that do that that excell because people share ideas on improving performance,creating good customer relations and fonding best practices that will result in the organization producing knowledge based product.I totally agree that a knowledge based organization has a competitive advantage over others! !! that sounds like a great tool to have in an enterprise but as it luis in the developing states, not everybody has access to the internet let alone e-mail.It becomes imperative therefore to have some kind of physical means of collaborating with others.So in the case of the third world countries, these exciting socail software will take a while for us to experince their benefits.it is a shame that all these innovative and efficient tools will only help a few out of the many. !!
