Randomchaos.  This feed engine sucks RSS feeds from the major job sites.  Two things: 1) if you don't make your content available for RSS, it will be done for you and 2) this type of thing would be better on the desktop (it would also prevent the service from being shut down).  The upshot is that content owners should quickly deploy RSS feeds for their sites in order to ensure quality and to take advantage of the RSS based advertising opportunities.  They should also...

News.com.  OvertureYahoo to launch new performance advertising tracking package via their newly acquired sub Keylime software.  This tool will enable performance-based ad tracking across multiple systems (Overture, Google, and more).  Details aren't available (since the whitepaper request returned an ASP error) on how it works but it is most likely a log analyzer that requires software on customer premises.

NYTimes.  Contextual ads fall short on most news stories.  This article is illustrative of the failure of generic news to provide the contextual content (keywords) necessary for effective targetted advertising (which is all the rage right now).  Stories about serial killers, weather, terrorists, war, politics, etc aren't appropriate for performance based ads.  What is needed is content that helps people make purchasing decisions.  That can..
