Mozilla 1.8 Beta 1 Released - February 26, 2005

The Mozilla Foundation today released Mozilla 1.8 Beta 1, the first beta of the 1.8 cycle after a record-breaking six alphas. The Mozilla 1.8 Beta 1 Release Notes have more information about this latest development milestone. While there's no major new features, there's several minor improvements detailed in the 1.8b1 readme and the rough 1.8b1 changelog. Web developers may be interested to hear that this release has partial support for ECMAScript for XML (E4X), which adds native XML support to.

Internet Explorer 7.0 Coming Soon - February 15, 2005

Today Microsoft announced that Internet Explorer 7.0 is now going to be available before the "Longhorn" version of Windows, which is not expected until at least mid 2006. It will be avaible to Licensed Windows XP users that have installed Service Pack 2 (SP2) and above.
