Conversant Support FeedConversant Support FeedDelivering pages, templates, messages based on cookies- (Found July 2, 2008 ) Here is something else I'd like to be able to do that I think can be done with some combination of cookie-based preferences and conditionals, but I really have no idea. Maybe there is another way of doing the same thing. But I'm pretty sure something like this already happens for stuff like the logon and signup forms, memberlinks, etc. I'd like to be able to deliver a page (or part of a page) to a viewer based on whether or not they have seen it before. For instance, I might want to deliver a..http://support.free-conversant.com/discussionThread$msgnum=8880 RE: "Generic" Form Validation- (Found July 2, 2008 ) On 6302008, Terry Frazier said: How about a test to prevent the use of HTML tags in specific text fields - e.g. http links. I've started working on an update to the form validation stuff, to put in some more features including what you've requested. Unfortunately, I'm swamped right now and won't be able to finish it for a few days. Hope this isn't a rush... If you are NOT a competent JavaScripter, don't be embarrassed... I had an idea for a "reverse" validation, but since I am not even remotely competent (in JavaScript and lots of...http://support.free-conversant.com/discussionThread$msgnum=8878 "Generic" Form Validation- (Found July 2, 2008 ) As I mentioned in my last message, I've attached a JavaScript script that you can use as a general purpose form-validation script with any form in Conversant (or anywhere else, for that matter). It's quite limited, but is a good place to start, and should be pretty easy to understand. It only checks text fields and textareas, and it only checks to make sure they have a value (other than spaces and tabs). It's pretty smart, though. It only checks fields that have a class of "requiredField"!...http://support.free-conversant.com/discussionThread$msgnum=8876 RE: ANN Validating a MailForm Page- (Found July 2, 2008 ) This is great Seth. It's simple, easy to understand, and anyone can implement it now. I am using mailform pages for customer surveys and market research. In many cases I'm offering some sort of premium to the respondent for answering so I needed a way to require certain fields be answered before I let them submit and sent them the premium item. This works very well. Thanks. - twfhttp://support.free-conversant.com/discussionThread$msgnum=8875 ANN Validating a MailForm Page- (Found July 2, 2008 ) Terry Frazier sent me a question asking how he could require that certain fields in a MailForm page have a value before the form is submittd. It's easy, I said, just write a JavaScript to check those fields, and call it from the form's onsubmit handler. Hah. It would be that easy if the MailForm let you put anything in the onsubmit attribute of the form tag, but there was no way to do it. Advanced JavaScript users had ways of doing, but there was no easy way. That problem is fixed. I think this would give you the URL you want: <!--weblog.URL date="relative to weblog" value="-1 days"--> Put that into the href...http://support.free-conversant.com/discussionThread$msgnum=8873 Adding a Previous Page Next Page link to weblog II pages- (Found July 2, 2008 ) I'd like to add a link to the bottom of my Weblog II page template that lets readers scroll through the weblog a page at a time.
