Saunter and ReposeSearching for small blissful moments in the ever-changing and not always sympathetic universe...(Untitled)- August 7, 2004 Today I had my first local peach of the season. It was just slightly under ripe, a bit more firm than I normally prefer, but the fragrance was too intoxicating I bit into one. What a sensation! Truly the taste of the sun, you know this fruit was on the tree until very very recently. It was so alive: the warmth of the sun light, spring rains, buzzing bees, sweet smelling flowers, all those gifts entered my body in one bite. I felt like a millionaire--what more could I possibly want I am also.http://blogs.salon.com/0003517/2004/08/06.html#a79 |
