However, if you love hot spicy food this one may be a little mild, but you can spice it up even hotter by adding additional cayenne pepper to it. This is wonderful serve with Nans and Dahl. Try adding different vegetables or omit any that you don't happen to care for. Another recipe by one of the Micheff Sisters, Brenda Walsh. -- posted by Enjolinfamhttp://www.recipezaar.com/305712 Carrot Cookies- May 28, 2008 These soft citrus-infused carrot cookies get a moisture barrier and a little extra zing from the orange flavored frosting. They are not anything like spicy, heavy carrot cake, they are light and make a wonderful summer cookie. My mother got this recipe from a dear friend of our family, and I have not seen nor had another carrot cookie like these anywhere else. -- posted by Tracyinthekitchenhttp://www.recipezaar.com/305577 A La Rousse Salad (Romanian)- May 28, 2008 Another Romanian recipe from my Romanian friend Carmen. I love the tangy flavor of this Romanian potato salad. The pickled red bell pepper can be difficult to find. If you can't find it, Carmen suggests to just double amount of pickles as a replacement so it keeps the good sour taste. She did this when she made it for a cooking demonstration and it tasted great! The vegetarian sausages are optional, but I personally think they are a must as they give the salad great flavor. -- posted by...http://www.recipezaar.com/305227 Kimchee (Korean Vegetable Pickle)- May 28, 2008 This is a mixture of carrot, celery cabbage and cauliflower and is spicy-hot! Celery cabbage is similar to bok choy which can be substituted. Made it years ago for Mother's Day and it's been a staple in our home ever since. The flavors work very well together. -- posted by JanuaryBridehttp://www.recipezaar.com/305085 Salad With Parmesan Cheese (Salata Ma Jibna)- May 27, 2008 From the African Cookbook, by Bea Sandler. For the fluffiest fried rice, start with cold rice - it won't clump like warm rice can. Recipe is from Woman's World. -- posted by Lainey6605http://www.recipezaar.com/304722 Belgian Carrots- May 22, 2008 Here's an interesting carrot recipe -- If you can, try making it a day ahead of time & give the flavor time to develop!
