I followed most of it except I substituted pumpkin spice and dropped the cloves. I used 2 shallow pie shells. -- posted by ckjrhttp://www.recipezaar.com/78104 Biscuit Stuffing Pork Chops- December 7, 2003 This is from a Pillsbury cookbook of Bake-Off Favorites. It was a 1971 finalist. I have often reduced the recipe to 2 or 3 pork chops (and kept the "stuffing" amount the same). I found that butermilk-type biscuits work better than the layer-type. Also, most cream soups (mushroom or celery) can be subbed for the cream of chicken. This is hearty main dish that can paired with a vegetable side and fresh fruit for a complete meal.Editted to add that I have tried the recipe using boneless,.http://www.recipezaar.com/78102 Pumpkin Pie Made With Tofu (No Milk or Eggs)- December 7, 2003 I fooled a lot of people; they still think the pie couldn't have tofu in it! I make it with a lot of spices. Be flexible; use more or less as need be. I also skip the crust and put it into a Pam-sprayed dish. -- posted by Ritahttp://www.recipezaar.com/78098 Super Easy Honey Garlic Spareribs- December 7, 2003 These are tender and delicious. Serve with rice and a veggie-stir fry. They take awhile to cook in your oven, but don't use much of your time to prepare. Good for a day when you have a lot of other things to do around the house. -- posted by Pixiehttp://www.recipezaar.com/78120 Sourdough Stuffing with bacon and mushrooms- December 7, 2003 -- posted by JillAZhttp://www.recipezaar.com/78121 Sausage Stuffing- December 7, 2003 Has sausage, mushrooms and water chestnuts. A nice change to "regular" stuffing. My family only wants me to make this one now. -- posted by ratherbebakinghttp://www.recipezaar.com/78136 Cranberry Tea Cake- December 7, 2003 This was originally from the "Moosewood Sundays" cookbook and was an instant hit around here...part coffeecake, part dessert - yummy! I've never had almonds in the house, but can vouch that it's great even without them. I've added in a bit of orange rind to the cranberry mix before too, to give it a nice zing. I have always used a Bundt pan...makes for a very pretty presentation for breakfast, brunch, tea, dessert, or gifts, especially around the winter holidays. -- posted by winkkihttp://www.recipezaar.com/78133 Lemon Buttermilk Chicken- December 7, 2003 This chicken dish turns out deliciously moist. Enjoy (prep time includes marinade time) -- posted by Teresehttp://www.recipezaar.com/78130 Crock Pot Stuffing (Dressing)- December 7, 2003 This is so similar to my "homemade" stuffing, I decided to try it & it rocks. I chopped up my giblets and sauteed them along with the onions & celery and included them. Beats packing it into the bird! You can double for a large crock pot. -- posted by Barb Conleyhttp://www.recipezaar.com/78124 Crock Pot Cajun Pot Roast- December 7, 2003 In the late 1960's I got this from a small Restaurant outside of Houma Louisiana. I remember I "oiled" the cook's vocal cords with a lot of cold Jax Beer to finesse the recipe out of him. About the only thing I've changed is re figuring it for the crock pot. -- posted by Pierre Dancehttp://www.recipezaar.com/78122 |
