Recipezaar: Fruit recipesThe newest Recipezaar recipesin:FruitMandarin Orange Jello Salad- July 4, 2008 This is one of the sides that is always served when my family gets together. It also works well as a dessert. The combination may sound strange but it is really good. I sometimes make it somewhat "healthier" by using sugar free and low fat options. Normally I try not to make it with instant pudding but it still tastes great if made with instant pudding. Preparation time includes cooling. -- posted by Ashleyhttp://www.recipezaar.com/311988 Almond-Kissed Plum Jam (Reduced Sugar)- July 4, 2008 I wanted to make a plum freezer jam, but did not want to use all that sugar most recipes call for. Actually, I could hardly even find any recipes for plum freezer jam. So, I kinda made this up, using what knowledge I could gather from looking at lots of other jam recipes (using both plums and other fruit). Since I just made this tonight, it has not had time to properly set, so I am not sure how soft a set it is going to be. Be sure to measure the fruit after chopping. I used to make this when my kids were very small - and will probably make it again soon, since he's brought it up now :) It's a silly little recipe, but it gave us some special memories. -- posted by SweetJezebelhttp://www.recipezaar.com/311899 White Chocolate Custard & Cranberry Trifle- July 4, 2008 I love cranberries - that whole tart-sweet thing just makes my mouth so happy! I've used this for a holiday dessert several times, and although it's a bit of work, I like it no matter what time of year. Cooking time listed is chill time. -- posted by SweetJezebelhttp://www.recipezaar.com/311879 Orange Rind Cake- July 3, 2008 I love citrus in just about anything, this cake is no exception. This is a basic recipe that tastes so good. -- posted by mommyoffourhttp://www.recipezaar.com/311759 Fruit Pizza- July 3, 2008 its a delicious desert, and since theres fruit on top, you can feel good about yourself afterwards. Tip: Instead of buying fruit dip, you can make your own. It just takes 8 ounces of cream cheese and 8 ounces of marshmallow cream. Throw them in a blender and you are good to go. (Even Vegan fruit dip is delicious!!) -- posted by Jes-cookshttp://www.recipezaar.com/311645 Diplomatic Pudding- July 2, 2008 From verybestbaking.com: Transform day-old bread into this classic Cuban dessert. The combination of evaporated and condensed milks makes this fruit- and nut-studded bread pudding extra rich and delicious, whether its served warm or chilled. The use of canned fruit in this recipe reflects the popularity of imported canned goods in Cuba during the 1950s. -- posted by SweetJezebelhttp://www.recipezaar.com/311607 Best Lemonade- July 2, 2008 This come courtesy of America's Test Kitchen weekly email. It looks easy and so refreshing! Just as a personal preference, I like my drinks to be very cold, so I would suggest to chill the lemonade for at least 2-3 hours, and serve with ice. -- posted by LDSMom128http://www.recipezaar.com/311594 Granola Bars- July 2, 2008 Nutritious treat to give you energy. -- posted by TheKindKitchenhttp://www.recipezaar.com/311589 Fruit Cocktail Salad- July 2, 2008 I got this recipe from work and it is quite tasty. -- posted by Donnamsarhttp://www.recipezaar.com/311516 |
