A European Inventory of Emissions to Inland Waters - A first proposal - November 25, 1998

The report describes the progress made within the EEA's work programme in defining an overall framework methodology for a European inventory of emissions to water. Such emission inventories and registers are important tools for the formulation and monitoring of pollution control policies, and are required under a number of EU directives. The report concentrates on four main issues; The substances to report, the emission generating sources, the spatial scale for reporting and the time scale used.

Spatial and Ecological Assessment of the TEN - Demonstration of Indicators and GIS Methods - November 15, 1998

Tropospheric Ozone in EU - The consolidated report - November 12, 1998

The current report was already announced in 1992 when the Council Directive on Air Pollution by Ozone (9272EEC; 'the Ozone Directive') was issued. The report analyses the information and data reported to the Commission in the framework of this Directive in 1994, 1995, and 1996. In addition much information, data and models from the UNECE-CLRTAP, EUROTRAC and DGXII programmes were used.
