Fishing ReportsPaul's Fishing ReportsSeptember 24, 2004- (Found July 5, 2008 ) Today we were lucky enough to find a few pods of fish while floating the river. There was either a good number of fish or no fish at all. I saw a few beds started, one female Salmon we caught today was almost spawnedout. The fish are in the pools and aren't moving, some are not bite plugs well either. The lower end was slow again today. Fish in the lake are still out in 30-40 foot range rightout of the mouth of the river. The bigger pools up river have good numbers of fish in them such as Sportsman's, Trestle pool and the Schoolhouse also both flyfishing section's are holding plenty of fish along with heavy fishing pressure. I would suggest getting yourself into a spot with some depth and a current break along a travel route of the Salmon and stick it out there. The crowds were cut in half compared to saturday in the lower end. Looked like a good number of fish were from the Wall Hole upstream that came in overnight. Tim O'Connor and I had a very enjoyable day with a few fish, some good laughs and a little scouting in the lower end. The flyzone's have been producing fish, with heavy fishing pressure.
