A tornado touched down three miles north of Beloit just after midnight and traveled 15 miles northeast hitting seven farmsteads in it's path.According to Scott Davies, Mitchell County emergency preparedness director, the tornado first touched down one mile west of the farmstead of Doug and Carol Krier.
