Tomorrow, Tuesday 15th January, is one such day and we eagely anticipate the launch of the disk-less, super slim ultra-portable Mac. What other products are released or updated remains to be seen, although the MacBook Pro line are due for a revision anytime soon. Likewise with the iPhone, which has now been out 6 months. 'About Me' Podcasts from Class JF9 and Internet Safety for children, teachers and parents- January 12, 2008 This week has been a 'getting to know each other' type week and Class JF9 have been working incredibly hard find different ways in which they can communicate information about themselves. Pupils have used Podcasting to record information about themselves and place this online so that it can be listened to online. We have understood that by placing it online, there is a much greater audience for their work. We have spent this week learning about Internet safety too, and pupils have made posters.http://www.jonathansblog.net/kings_road_podcasts_class_jf9_apple_garageband International project goes live with pupils at Rettendon School- January 9, 2008 Rettendon Primary School in Essex have just recently begun work on an International project, linking with a small school in Little Cayman. The Little Cayman Education Service community has just four pupils, with a fulltime teacher and learning support assistant. Pupils at Rettendon Primary School put together a PowerPoint presentation with images and annotation to show what school life is like in the UK. Engaging Learners in the design of their learning space using Post-IT notes- January 9, 2008 Having recently taken a new role at Kings Road Primary School in Chelmsford, as Class Teacher and ICT Co-ordinator, pupils in Class JF9 began work on identifying the aspects of their learning space that they consider either 'Works Well', 'Is So So' or 'Doesn't Work Well'. I asked pupils to consider aspects including classroom layout, behaviour, access to resources they need, heating, lighting, homework and such like. This is just a little clip showing our team in full race mode during one of the very competitive races amongst many professional teams. Although most of the crew look like they are just sitting, they are in fact acting as 'useful' ballast to make the boat go even faster.
