Favorite Cheezy Ranch Bread (Abm) - January 30, 2008

This is the bread my kids beg for! It is great toasted or served along with a good bowl of chili. Enjoy! :) (Special note: the optional cubed cheese add yummy-gooey pockets of cheese through out the bread!... give it a try) :) Makes a LARGE 1 12 pound loaf. -- posted by Binxi

Wheat Rolls - January 29, 2008

Tender and moist rolls, the best wheat dinner rolls I've tried. Can use as sandwich rolls as well. From King Arthur Flour Whole Grain Baking. These do not have an orange flavor, the orange juice simply tempers the tannic flavor of whole wheat. -- posted by LonghornMama

Old Fashioned Chicken Pot Pie in a Pan - January 28, 2008

From start-to-finish, this is a "feel good" dinner--it screams "Home Cookin'" and "I love you!"...in sweet tones, of course! Use your bread machine for the dough (like I do) or make from scratch on your own (more brownie points!). Not a "fast" or "simple" recipe...but WELL-WORTH the effort (wait'll you hear the sighs of delight---you'll know what I mean). COOKING time does NOT include bread-machine cycle. -- posted by Debber

Bread Machine West African Banana Fritters - January 18, 2008

This is based on a recipe from Madge Rosenberg's cookbook, The Best Bread Machine Cookbook Ever - Ethnic Breads. She says, "These fritters, similar to what we know as beignets, make inexpensive party food rich in natural fruit flavors. Children will enjoy munching these crispies with milk, but the big kids will eat their way through an endless supply with coffee or beer." My kind of fritters! -- posted by mersaydees

Onion Rolls - Bread Machine Recipe - January 17, 2008

My local bagel shop makes onion breadsticks out of bagel dough scraps. And they inspired me to make these. They came out delicious, and of course with help from my bread machine they were super easy! I used the bagel recipe from my bread machine manual but substituted all purpose flour instead of bread flour that is normally used in a bagel. We will be enjoying them tonight with steak and steamed broccoli. -- posted by DbKnadler

Bread Machine Dinner Rolls - January 16, 2008

From the Black & Decker Bread Machine. For Canada, it says to use 4 13 cup white flour. And USA 4 12 cups. I've always use 4 13 cup all purpose flour for this recipe. -- posted by Boomette

Kamut Flour Bread for Bread Machine (Wheat-Free) - January 15, 2008

I spent months developing a tasty (and easy) wheat-free bread recipe, and this is my final product. This recipe also works really nicely with spelt flour, but I'm almost as allergic to spelt as I am to wheat and, of course, spelt is not gluten-free. I'm pretty sure kamut is. Please let me know if anyone has success making this recipe with any other alternate grain flours. The xanthan gum is a critical element to provide "slice-ability" without the bread crumbling apart. -- posted by..
