Four wins and two seconds meant that 2003 champion Shane &145;Shakey&146; Byrne was in control in the 2008 British Superbike series, with the Airwaves-sponsored Ducati 1098R, for the GSE Racing team. Craig Jones at the Monza World Supersport round - May 28, 2008

Craig Jones came away from the last round of the Supersport World Championship at Monza, Italy, with a well-deserved sixth place but also a broken hand. He fell in the free practice session, breaking the fifth metatarsal in his left hand in the incident.

Byrne and Crutchlow win at Brands Hatch BSB - May 19, 2008

Three wins from four races had put former champion Shane Byrne in prime position for the 2008 Bennetts British Superbike Championship, and now the series was returning to Brands Hatch, where &145;Shakey&146; was already installed in pole position. Local man Byrne had also won twice at the circuit against the best in the world, in 2003 - his title winning year.

Two GP wins in a row for Valentino Rossi - May 18, 2008

The 2008 MotoGP World Championship had seen four different race winners in the first four races, with success for three different motorcycles and for both the tyre suppliers. After all that, there were only nine points in it between the three leading riders, with Dani Pedrosa heading Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi. The latest round was the French Grand Prix at Le Mans.

Report from the 2008 North West 200 road races - May 18, 2008

The North West 200 always brings exciting and exhilarating racing, and is certainly one of the biggest crowd-pulling events in the world today. Michael Rutter took yet another Superbike win, and the hard riding Steve Plater took three wins in one day, but the North West 200 race week was sadly marred by the loss of one of our motorcycle racing legends - Robert Dunlop.

Double BSB win for Shane Byrne at Oulton - May 12, 2008

The racing at Thruxton had shown that British Superbike competition in 2008 is going to be all about Airwaves Ducati and HM Plant Honda yet again, even if the riders are different this season. Bank Holiday Monday&146;s action would take place at a very different circuit, as the technically challenging Oulton Park played host to races three and four.

HM Plant Honda look for better at Brands BSB - May 11, 2008

HM Plant Honda team-mates Leon Haslam and Cal Crutchlow had a weekend to forget at Oulton Park on the Bank Holiday weekend. Whilst leading the first British Superbike race of the day, Cal crashed out of contention at Lodge corner, but restarted his machine to finish in sixth place.
