Right. I&39;m somewhat comfortable with Portuguese, having travelled in Portugal and had a Brazilian girlfriend. I can also get by in English :) I&39;m just curious about the prevalance of French in specific regions, etc. I might also find myself in Morocco, and I know I can use French there--I wish I&39;d parled Francais when I was there the last time!

Well, I&39;m not an expecialist on africa but... Mozambique -> They speaks portuguese so... Malawi -> They speak english. Madagascar -> They speak frenchb but english is also official language Kenya -> English appear as official language Tanzania -> Sam as Kenya So...

Sorry for the English: to what degree is French spoken in East Africa. Specifically, I&39;m curious about Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Madagascar, Malawi. Also, if anyone feels like offering suggestions, I&39;m studying basic French (and other langs) for the purpose of visiting these places. Thx, MMM
