Recent developments in FeAs-based superconductors - May 20, 2008

Superconductivity at 53.5K in GdFeAsO1- by Z-A Ren et al published in Superconductor Science and Technology, reports the fabrication and superconductivity of the iron-based arsenic-oxide GdFeAsO1- compound with oxygen-deficiency, which has an onset resistivity transition temperature of 53.5 K.
