It is, geographically speaking, located within Flanders; however, 80% of the Bruxellois speak French as their first language. The Flemish and Wallonian parliaments face each other from opposite sides of the street -- streets which have their names displayed in both vlaams and franais. But language is where it gets tricky. Give me a break: I've been very busy and important.I arrived in Brussels on 28 July after an incredibly stressful journey from Paris. Luckily I've managed to move-in and settle quite well, and I'm very pleased with my flat here. It's located just off the Place du Grand Sablon on a rather quiet sidestreet, a 15-minute walk from the embassy.My job at the mission is going quite well.
