PMC and Dichroic Glass- March 17, 2006 I have been recently experimenting with firing dichroic glass cabochons with PMC Standard. The secret is to gradually ramp up your kiln and hold the temperature at 1650 degrees for at least 20 minutes. Then let the kiln cool naturally (usually overnight) to prevent the glass from cracking. I finished this necklace with a handmade imported silk cord necklace that adjusts from 16 to 20 inches.
