The solution to all problems: shut down, reboot. First, there was the connectivity problem I've been having since the power outage this past weekend. I even went out and bought a new network card in the hopes of fixing the problem; didn't work. I had to call Comcast support, and the solution was to unplug the cable modem for about a minute, plug it back in, and hope it fixed the problem. It did. Also, nitchie.com is now operational.
