Mort - Why I know it's the power adapter: the charge indicator light at the computer-end of the cable wasn't lighting up. I found that by wiggling the cable where it goes into the "brick" I could get it to work or not work. So right now it's working, I just have to make sure not to jiggle the cable. I have found that with any plug wether AC or DC this can help flakey connections.
