Back On Mac - (Found July 8, 2008 )

I have been using Radio to publish this site for close to 2 months now. I still cannot decide if it's lover or hate. I have been hosting Radio on XP and I have had a few recurring problems, little stuff like gobbling up all available system resources, lost postings, array corruption, and upstream problems. I uninstalled and reinstalled, the corruption remained. I even managed to lose a few weeks worth of postings. Next I installed Radio on Mac OS 9, moved over the Data Files and www folder..

Hard Drive, I hardly knew ya. - (Found July 8, 2008 )

Came home to a blue screen of death yesterday. Except this one really did signal a death of sorts. I lost the hard drive with my system partition. Having previously lost a dissertation to a hard drive failure (a Micropolis Tomahawk 9.1 GB about 1 month after Micropolis went out of business, ahhhh!) CT-Scan went as expected - now I wait. Yesterday was so nice here in the Northwood that it even got a mention from Doc Searls. It was a day made for a motorcycle ride. Uncomfortably Numb - (Found July 8, 2008 )

I have an appointment with the Radiologist tomorrow. This will be my 4th CT-Scan in less than a year. The last one was supposed to bring good news. Instead it brought more uncertainty. IU just tied the game at 40. What sort of ugly farce is this game I watched the 1st half with one eye as I attended to semi-important business call. IU looked so inept I assumed they were down 20. But it turns out Mayland just looked more graceful at being inept. Now the 2nd half is under way and it looks more like dodgeball than championship basketball. Maryland appears to be snatching defeat from the Jaws of victory. Al Gore must have spoke to the Terps before the game.

Watching the Championship game, Maryland just went up 18-6. IU is about to get hammered. It was a nice run while it lasted, I hope it helps the Hoosiers fans break their traumatic bond with that foul ol' cry baby Knight.
