Yeah, I'm a bit behind on these, but I'll catch up soon enough. The World Series has been pretty good thusfar, and I'm extremely happy with how the Patriots totally destroyed the Bills on Sunday. They weren't perfect offensively or defensively, but it was the Bills, so it was more than enough for a blowout. In other news, I've managed to get an infection in both eyes. Nice. Can't keep them open in daylight.THE OAKLAND ATHLETICS93-69, Eliminated in ALCS 4-0Well, the A's finally managed to make it.

I really like good documentaries that expose money-grubbing bastards. "The Corporation" is probably the best I've seen yet. It's got the least amount of holes in the factual information, and as soon as they start laying it on too thick (probably the biggest flaw in "Farenheit 911" and "Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price") it diverts to more interviews and analysis. I was really fucking impressed. THE SAN DIEGO PADRES88-74, Eliminated in NLDS 3-1The Padres ended up being just another one of...

I set this as my Facebook default pic today. For the last couple months, it was me in a "Brokeback Jeter" shirt, and it stuck because it felt appropriate. I pretty much decided it was time to change it today. I don't know how long I'll keep this one, probably not long.I was going to do another elimination today, but I'm holding off until tomorrow.I didn't know Cory Lidle. I'd never met him, I didn't know his family, I didn't know much about him.He was a name to me. A name I said a lot. A name,..

A's down early in Game 1. Zito looked awful.THE LOS ANGELES DODGERS88-74, Eliminated in NLDS 3-0Nobody really expected the Dodgers to take out the Mets, but the Dodgers barely even showed up to the playoffs. They got great stuff from Comeback Player of the Year Nomar Garciaparra, and a rejuvenated Kenny Lofton also contributed. Rookie Andre Ethier filled in for Milton Bradley perfectly. Rafael Furcal also showed up on the map, and proved himself a high-quality player. The Dodgers had a lot of...

I have to write a "personal narrative" where I write about an "entertaining thing that happened to me" and analyze it to make it interesting and useful writing. My title: "Raiders vs. Patriots, 2002"I'm behind on my eliminations, but I'll catch up. The LCS's give me some time.THE NEW YORK YANKEES97-65, Eliminated in ALDS 3-1Nothing good to say about these fucks, other than I'm glad they're gone. They're already working on firing their coach, trading their best player, and letting their best...

And the playoff roll continues... THE MINNESOTA TWINS96-66, Eliminated in ALDS 3-0The Twins may have been the most hyped team in the playoffs, and in the end it turned out to be just hype. Not only did they get swept, losing 2 of the 3 in their home stadium, not once did they have a lead in any of the three games. It was as embarassing as it gets in the playoffs for the Twins. Nevertheless, they had some positives from the season. Johan Santana will probably win the AL Cy Young, Francisco...

Looks like it's about to rain. Shit. Summer's almost officially dead. Hopefully it won't fuck up golf on Friday.Loaiza blew up pretty quick. Sucks to be stuck in class and not watching baseball. One of my professors' assigned books is out of print, and he expects us to order it off Amazon and have it read within a week. WTF

When did I get on the MySpace wannabe amateur porn starmodel mailing list I don't know these hoes!THE HOUSTON ASTROS82-80, 1.5 games out, 0 to playThe Astros came up with a really hot run late in the year to try and take the division from the fading Cardinals, but a disappointing final series against the Braves did them in for good, and makes them the last team eliminated in the regular season. They played great against their own division, but failed in interleague and interdivision games....

How about those Patriots Whooped ass on the Bengals. Love to see Brady back in his good form, and the defense playing as well as they did, even though I'm convinced they aren't as good as they looked. 3-1 before a critical game against Miami. Cannot have a letdown.Back to eliminations...THE PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES85-77, 3 games out, 0 to playThe Phillies were a fairly competitive team for a lot of the year, but not so much in the division as the Mets basically took it and ran. The Phillies were...

Before I go watch the Patriots (probably) lose today to the Bengals, I'm going to make sure to post my parting wishes to another Cincinnati team. THE CINCINNATI REDS80-81, 3.5 games out, 1 to playThe Reds actually led the NL Central for a time, and the Wild Card for a large chunk of the season, but tailspinned at the end and will end up with a record of .500 or slightly worse to finish out this year. They certainly had some hitting woes, as their only big power hitter, Adam Dunn, had almost 200.
